Obverse Description: Crowned bust of Queen Victoria facing left, veiled and draped, wearing ribbon and Star of Garter; around, VICTORIA . DEI . GRA . BRITT . REGINA . FID . DEF . IND . IMP . T.B. the artist's initials, T.B. are below the bust.
Reverse Description: St. George on horseback holding short sword in right hand, wearing a flowing cape, helmet and boots; the horse rearing to right over fallen dragon which has a broken lance in its chest; the date, 1894 in the exergue. The mint mark M is in the ground above the middle of the date.

Obverse Design: Young head of Queen Victoria facing to left, with a plain band and fillet around hair. The mint mark M below; around, VICTORIA D:G: BRITANNIAR: REG: F:D: The artist's initials W.W. on the truncation of the neck.
Reverse Design: St. George on horseback holding short sword, the horse rearing to right over a fallen dragon which has a broken lance in its chest; in exergue, the date, 1884 and the artist's initials B.P., it was created by a talented and young Italian, Benedetto Pistrucci.
